Titanium Black Pigment (Nanoparticle) from Mitsubish
World's first oxynitriding titanium black pigmentnanoparticle. As a black pigment nanoparticlethat is useful in multiple functions, it is applied invarious fields, such as light shielding material forliquid crystal panels, light adjusting material forlenses, charge controlling agent for copy machineparts, cosmetics and laser marking resin.
Merit
Light shielding effect
Obtains high blackness and tinting strength that allowthe design of high light-shielding film.
Insulation property
Maintains "Insulation – High resistance" (particle itself issemi-conductive). Optimum for adding black coloringand light shielding of resin parts where conductionneeds to be avoided.
Optical property
Permeates short-wavelength lightof near UV range
When added to UV hardening resin, it is possible toobtain hardening reaction with lower UV energycompared to carbon black.
Safety
Used as pigment for cosmetics (12S grade)
Conforms to the Japanese Standard of CosmeticClassification Formulating Components: Black titaniumoxide.
Nonmagnetic
There is no risk of magnetic separation after mixing of theresin base materials, which occurs with inorganicpigments of iron black, etc.
Heat resistance
Stable up to 300。C in air
Only oxidizes in temperature of 300。C or more and doesnot emit harmful carbon monoxide, such as carbon black.*Changes to white color (Titanium dioxide)
Advantages example
●Black matrix for liquid crystal filter
●Cosmetic products (Eye shadow, mascara)
●Copy machine parts (Charging roll, electrical charge adjustment filler)
●Insulation black seal and coating material
●Light reduction film for camera sensor and lens
●Laser marking resin
